PFHE Launches FaithBasedSchools.org

Nov 30, 2009 – LENEXA, Kan. – PlattForm Higher Education, a leading full-service advertising agency specializing in postsecondary education, has announced the launch of FaithBasedSchools.org. Offering information on hundreds of faith-based colleges and universities, FaithBasedSchools.org is a first-of-its-kind online resource that focuses on the religiously-affiliated college search process.

FaithBasedSchools.org allows potential students to search for colleges and universities by state and religious affiliations such as: Adventist Colleges, Baptist Colleges, Catholic Universities, Lutheran Schools, Episcopal Colleges, Methodist Schools and more. Using the search results, users can find information about the institutions that interest them and request more information by entering their contact information. The capability for such a tailored search experience is a first for faith-based learners, and is particularly important among students hoping to find a school that fits their educational needs and religious beliefs.

Some institutions available on the site include Colorado Christian University, Grand Canyon University and Liberty University.

“The college search process can be challenging for students of all types, but we realize that students looking for a faith-based institution face their own set of unique challenges,” said Dave Admire, CEO of PlattForm Higher Education. “There’s so much more that needs to go into choosing a college than simply finding one that offers an educational experience that adheres to your own religious beliefs. FaithBasedSchools.org provides the information students need to find a college or university that is right for them.”

In addition to searching for colleges, FaithBasedSchools.org features several sections that can bring users all kinds of capabilities:
•   “Areas of Study” helps users determine a specific area of study that appeals to them by searching career- and education-specific information.
•    “Why Faith-Based Schools” explains the benefits of choosing a faith based institution over a  community college or traditional university.
•   “Articles” provides news pieces written by students and educators on college life, careers, denominations and more.
•   “Quizzes” developed to help users who are unsure if a faith based school is right for them. Featuring questions help the user determine what aspects are most important to them in choosing a school.
 •   “How to Pay for School” offers financial tips, links to scholarship applications, information on campus jobs and more.
