Dave Voskuil

Dave Voskuil
Dave Voskuil is completing his 32nd year in the enrollment management profession. Entering as an admission “roadrunner” recruiter for a small, private church related College in Wisconsin, Dave has held positions as Admission Counselor, Director, Dean, Associate Vice President and Vice President. His profession has taken him to positions at 2 year and 4 year liberal arts colleges, comprehensive Universities, and a Sport Science specific graduate institution, with stops in Wisconsin, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama and North Carolina. Supervisory responsibilities have included admission, financial aid, registrar, intercollegiate athletics and student life departments.

During his tenure as VP for Enrollment Management at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, Dave led the institution to 7 consecutive years of new student enrollment growth. He has recently accepted a post as VP for Enrollment Management at Centenary College of Louisiana. Dedicated primarily to the small, religiously affiliated, private college sector, Dave continues to look for effective and innovative ways to determine, contact and provide students and families support in making the important decision of choosing the right college or University.

In his free time, Dave enjoys playing golf and basketball.

Hill Steve

Dr. Steve Hill
Dr. Steve Hill served as Dean of Enrollment Services at University of the Southwest for four years after a broad and varied professional background.  He served as superintendent of Great Lakes Academy in Plano, TX for 2 years.  Great Lakes is a private school for special needs students, grade 1-12.  Prior to that Dr. Hill was a teacher, coach, and administrator in the Texas public education system for 28 years. 

Dr. Hill’s academic preparation includes a Doctor of Education from Baylor University in education administration, Master of Education in education administration from Texas Tech University, and Bachelor of Science from West Texas A & M University.  He is married to Jana, who is a CPA and investment counselor with offices in Plano, Lubbock, and Seminole, TX and is father of 3 sons and grandfather to 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.  The highlight of Dr. Hill’s career came when he was chosen to give a presentation on the need for global curriculum change in Shanghai and Beijing, China and the presentation was published by University of Toledo.

Dr. Hill enjoys playing golf, fishing, and travel in the family motor home when time allows.

 

 

PamPennington

Pam Pennington
Pam Pennington serves as vice president of marketing and strategic growth for Friends University, a four-year private liberal arts university providing traditional, adult degree-completion and graduate degree programs. She has been with Friends University for a total of 15 years. Pam holds a bachelor in Human Resource Management and a Masters in Management, both from Friends University and enjoys teaching part-time when her schedule allows.

Prior to her current position, she was the Marketing Director for New England Financial, a MetLife affiliate, overseeing the marketing and direct commission-based sales efforts of more than 100 agents across Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas, producing the most successful agents in company history. Pam was honored to attend Agency Builder’s for three (3) consecutive years which recognizes the top 30 marketing directors across the country for their marketing initiatives that increased production for their agencies.

Raised in Sedgwick, Kansas, Pam enjoys her time spent with her significant other, his children, and her new puppy Chesney. Pam is looking forward to serving on the Higher Education Advisory Board for PlattForm.

James Schlimmer

Jim Schlimmer
Jim Schlimmer began his role as chief enrollment offer in 1982 at High Point University.  His 27 years of experience at the senior admissions level have given him a broad-based action-oriented perspective of enrollment issues.  He oversaw the growth of the admissions and enrollment program at High Point University from welcoming 265 new students to over 600.  His experience has included direct responsibility for admissions recruiting, publications, electronic contact with prospects, retention data base development and maintenance, and financial aid pricing.  He has served as chief enrollment officer for two schools in North Carolina – including one private two-year school, one national liberal arts college in Iowa and, at present, a state teaching college in South Carolina – Francis Marion University.  In the two years he has been at Francis Marion, the University is experiencing the largest first-year student application base, the largest overall enrollment and a 20% increase in new students over 2008. 

Jim is a frequent presenter at conferences in the Carolinas, the region and nationally.  He has made over 17 appearances at professional conferences.

In the past two years, Jim has worked as a consultant with a number of colleges in support of their direct mail and admission assessment needs.

Jim’s wife is a professor of music and the Schlimmers have two college students – Andy, a law student at Ohio Northern and Kathryn, a junior at Roanoke College.

Roger Kugler

Roger Kugler
Roger Kugler has over 25 years of experience in higher education academic leadership and enrollment management in small private liberal arts colleges and large public universities including Central Methodist University (Missouri), Middle Tennessee State University, and the University of Kansas. In addition, Dr. Kugler is the President of Kugler Consulting, Inc., specializing in enrollment management, academic program assessment, institutional outcomes assessment, and admissions sales training and served as the Executive Director for Educational Research and Accreditation Projects for Longmire and Company, Lenexa, Kansas.

Michele Beauregard

Michelle L. Beauregard
Michelle L. Beauregard has served as the Director of Admission at Bryant University since May 2006.  She previously served as the Director of Freshman Admission at Roger Williams University and as an Admission Counselor at Cedar Crest College.  From June 2005- June 2006, Michelle served as the President of the Rhode Island Association of Admission Officers.  She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Moravian College in 1998 and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Bryant University in 2005.
