Director of Professional Development

Kate Edwards, was born in Wichita, Kan., but grew up mostly in Arkansas. After graduating from high school, she moved back to Kansas to attend K-State. She graduated in 2003 with a degree in Marketing and quickly found a home at PlattForm in the Client Services department. Ever since, she has spent her time here learning the unique approach to service that PlattForm – and our clients – hold dear.

In her present role, Kate focuses on training and developing talents in both new and existing members of PlattForm’s Higher Education team. Her main priority is helping her team accomplish their goals while they focus on helping our clients accomplish theirs. And, since new employees can be driven to over-achieve, she likes to remind them that their professional development will take time – that they need to “be patient and be confident.”

Luckily, Kate is a laid-back person who loves helping create wins for our clients by emphasizing the value of service within herself and the PlattForm Higher Education team. She firmly believes that listening closely to our clients is the key to strong relationships and developing effective strategies. She also describes herself as a person who tries to speak only when necessary.

When Kate isn’t inspiring her team, she can be found hanging out with her family and friends. She loves trying new restaurants, traveling and exploring Kansas City culture.
