A conversation with Lou Llewellyn

Regional Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Growing up, Lou fit the true definition of an Army brat. He was born in Japan, raised in Hawaii and graduated from high school in Texas. Then, he spent the following six years in the Army. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Human Relations from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
Lou has always been a proponent of education, recognizing it as the gateway and foundation to unlimited possibilities. By having a role in helping people attain a quality education, he feels that he is “helping move the needle of progress for humanity.” At PlattForm, Lou is an integral member of a team that provides strategic solutions for our client’s marketing and enrollment goals.
The real heroes in Lou’s life are his parents, who he credits with “teaching me about right and wrong, cause and effect, and for giving me the foundation to build my life on.” He adds, “My wife and son are my heroes for giving me love and purpose.”
Asked to define success, he says “I’d rather define failure. Failure is not falling down. Failure is falling down and not getting back up and continuing the journey.”
Lou never looks back or second guesses the decisions and experiences that have shaped him as a person. “I am absolutely happy with my life – all its victories and defeats. I live my life so that I will have no regrets at the end.”
